28 March 2007 - Upgrade of Highway 22

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of citizens who are very concerned about this government’s addiction to gravel and turning highways back to gravel as they’ve done on a section of No. 22. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for the Earl Grey area families and businesses. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

Signatures to this petition, Mr. Speaker, come from the communities of Dysart, Bulyea, Punnichy, and Duval. And I’m pleased to be able to present it on their behalf.


22 March 2007 - Upgrade of Highway 22

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of constituents who are very upset with this government’s action in turning a portion of Highway 22 back to gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey and area families and businesses. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

Mr. Speaker, signatures to this petition come from the communities of Bulyea, Earl Grey, and Southey. And I’m very pleased to be able to present this petition on their behalf.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of Saskatchewan citizens who are very concerned with this government’s action in turning a portion of Highway No. 22 into gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey area families and businesses. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

6 December 2006 - Upgrade of Highway 22

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of Saskatchewan citizens who are very concerned with this government’s addiction to gravel highways. I have a number of petitions, Mr. Speaker, but I’ll read one of them, and it deals with Highway 22 between junction 6 and junction 20. And the prayer reads as follows, Mr. Speaker:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey and area families and businesses. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray, Mr. Speaker.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I have a petition to present on behalf of citizens of Saskatchewan who are very concerned with this government’s addiction to gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey area families and businesses. 30 November 2006 - Upgrade of Highway 22

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I’d like to join with my colleague in presenting a petition urging this government to deal with Highway 22. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so that it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey and area families and businesses. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

Mr. Speaker, the signatures to this petition are all from the constituency of Last Mountain-Touchwood. They come from the communities of Earl Grey, Bulyea, Southey, and Cupar. I so present.


28 November 2006 - Tougher Sentences for Sex Offenders

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I too have a petition that is similar, the same as my colleagues’ where it calls on the Assembly to cause the government to create a website to provide information on high-risk offenders, to take steps to speed up public disclosure. Mr. Speaker, it also asks that the government lobby the federal government for tougher sentences for sexual offences against children.

Mr. Speaker, signatures to this petition come from the community of Melfort. And I’m pleased to be able to present it on their behalf.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you Madam Deputy Speaker. Madam Deputy Speaker, I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of constituents who are very concerned with this government’s addiction to gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22, so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey area families and businesses. 23 November 2006 - Dust Control on Highway 99

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I too have a petition to present on behalf of citizens concerned with this government’s propensity for gravel highways. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to undertake immediate action and provide dust suppression on the gravel portion of Highway No. 99 between junction 6 and Craven. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

Signatures to this petition, Mr. Speaker, come from the communities of Southey, Craven, Regina, Bulyea, and Markinch. I so present.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I have a petition that I’d like to present on behalf of citizens that are very concerned about the gravel highways in this province, particularly those highways that were returned to gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey and area families and businesses. Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take immediate action and provide dust suppression on the gravel portion of Highway 99 between junction 6 and Craven. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I’m pleased to be able to present a petition on behalf of constituents who are very upset with this government’s plan of gravel highways. The prayer reads as follows, Mr. Speaker:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take immediate action and provide dust suppression on the gravel portion of Highway 99 between Junction 6 and Craven. As in duty bound your petitioners will ever pray.

Mr. Speaker, there are a lengthy list of Saskatchewan citizens that have signed this petition. I’ll name some of the communities that they come from — Craven, Lumsden, Silton, Zehner, Regina, amongst other communities, Mr. Speaker. I so present.

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, it seems this government has a plan for more gravel highways in Last Mountain-Touchwood. I have another petition dealing with another highway, Highway No. 99. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take immediate action and provide dust suppression on the gravel portion of Highway 99 between Junction 6 and Craven. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.

30 October 2006 - Upgrade of Highway 22

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I rise to present a petition dealing with a section of Highway 22 between Junction 6 and Junction 20, and I present the petition on behalf of citizens who are very upset with this government’s move to turn a portion of that highway back to gravel. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade and maintain Highway 22 so it can return to being a safe and economical route for Earl Grey area families and businesses. 27 October 2006 - Upgrade of Bruno Access Road

Mr. Hart: — Thank you, Mr. Speaker. Mr. Speaker, I too have a petition that is calling for improvements to Highway No. 5 at the Bruno turnoff. The prayer reads as follows:

Wherefore your petitioners humbly pray that your Hon. Assembly may be pleased to cause the government to take the necessary action to upgrade the Bruno access road off of Highway No. 5. As in duty bound, your petitioners will ever pray.
